Frequently asked questions.

How much does it cost?

Our fee is $2,000–$3,000 based on the number of applicants and level of need. Your free consultation includes an exact quote before any work begins.

How long does approval take?

Typically 45–90 days from filing. Missing documents are the number one cause of delays — that's why we make sure your application is complete before we file.

What if I'm over the income limit?

If your income exceeds the 2026 limit of $2,982/month, a Qualified Income Trust (also called a Miller Trust) may help you qualify. We are not attorneys and this is not legal advice — for trust setup, we refer you to an Ohio elder law attorney.

What if I was denied before?

We review the denial, identify what went wrong, and help you reapply or appeal.

Do you help with VA benefits?

No. We focus exclusively on Ohio Medicaid applications — the Assisted Living Waiver and Nursing Home Medicaid.

Do I have to live in Northeast Ohio?

No. Our core service area is Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Summit, Portage, Lorain, and Ashtabula counties, but we can serve families anywhere in Ohio.

Will Medicaid take my house?

Generally no. In 2026, your home is exempt up to $752,000 in equity. We are not attorneys and this is not legal advice — for asset questions, we refer you to an Ohio elder law attorney.
